A Matter of Faith: The Book of Romans

Course Objectives:

• Participants will understand what happens when we suppress the truth of God’s kindness and patience through religion and self-righteousness.
• Participants will understand that the whole world (Jew and Gentile) is accountable to God because of His holiness.
• Participants will understand that the solution for sin is through Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross, which satisfied God’s holy requirement.
• Participants will understand that the foundation of our position in Christ prepares us to live the Christian life in the power of the Holy Spirit.
• Participants will understand that God is totally sovereign in both our salvation and our lives, so nothing happens by chance or catches God by surprise.
• Participants will understand who are included as children of God.
• Participants will understand what it means to be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.
