The Share Meeting link doesn’t open my email app.

If you are using Windows and you are experience an issue where clicking on the Share Meeting button doesn’t automatically display an email window, there are three things to try to fix it.

  1. If you are using Outlook, visit this link to get the current instructions from Microsoft
    1. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/make-outlook-the-default-program-for-email-contacts-and-calendar-ff7990c4-54c4-4390-8fe3-c0285226f021?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us#ID0EBBD=Newer_versions
  2. If you are not using outlook or #1 doesn’t work, try this…
    1. Click Start.
    2. Click Settings.
    3. Click Apps.
    4. Click Default apps.
    5. Click Choose default apps by protocol in the right-hand pane
    6. Scroll down to MAILTO,
    7. Ensure it is set to the email program you normally use.
  3. If you are using Outlook, you tried #2 and still can’t see Outlook as an option, contact Microsoft Support and let them know you need to reset the default application for the MailTo protocol to Outlook and Outlook is not an available choice. They should be able to guide you on next steps to take.

Unfortunately, the issue you are experiences in an issue with Windows / Outlook and not the Sync with God platform. While we are always here to serve and help, the best ones to help if the instructions on this page don’t help are the folks at Microsoft.
